Cartesia's 20%-off yearly toggle disappears again, two days after returning

Cartesia pricing

Cartesia's Monthly/Yearly (Save 20%) billing toggle is gone from cartesia.ai/pricing again, just two days after being reinstated — every self-serve tier now shows one flat monthly rate: Pro $5, Startup $49, Scale $299.

Before

Monthly / Yearly (Save 20%) toggle present, defaulting to Yearly: Free $0/mo, Pro $4/mo, Startup $39/mo, Scale $239/mo; Monthly tab showed $5/$49/$299 (as of 2026-08-26).

After

No billing-period toggle. A single monthly rate per tier: Free $0/mo, Pro $5/mo, Startup $49/mo, Scale $299/mo, Enterprise custom (as of 2026-08-28).

Cartesia’s pricing page has lost its annual-billing option for the second time in five weeks. The Monthly / Yearly (Save 20%) toggle that had just reappeared on 2026-08-26 — defaulting to a discounted Yearly view of Pro $4/mo, Startup $39/mo, and Scale $239/mo — is absent again in a 2026-08-28 recapture. The “Compare plans in detail” grid subtitle, which had read “same billing period as above” while the toggle existed, is also gone, confirming the control was removed rather than just defaulting differently. Every self-serve tier now shows a single flat rate: Pro $5/mo, Startup $49/mo, Scale $299/mo — identical to the rates shown between the toggle’s first removal (2026-07-22) and its brief return.

Credit allowances (20K / 100K / 1.25M / 8M per month), prepaid voice-agent balances ($1 / $5 / $49 / $299), the flat $0.06/min Line voice-agent rate, and $0.014/min telephony are all unchanged. Two smaller copy changes landed alongside the toggle’s removal: the pricing-page comparison grid now labels the Voice Agents section “Managed Agents” (was “Line”) and its agent-slot row “Cartesia-provisioned phone numbers” (was “Number of agent slots”), with the same 1/3/5/10/Custom values; and voice localization is now described as “225 credits per added voice accent” rather than “225 credits as a one-time cost,” with the credit amount unchanged. Cartesia’s docs also gained a new “Running out of credits” section explaining that a workspace-level overage toggle determines whether over-allotment requests fail or bill as overage.

Yearly Billing Toggle Removed Again, Two Days After Returning

The Monthly / Yearly (Save 20%) toggle reinstated on 2026-08-26 is gone again — the third state change to this single control in five weeks. The pricing page reverts to a single flat monthly rate per tier (Pro $5, Startup $49, Scale $299) with no annual-discount control anywhere on the page. Two copy changes landed alongside it: the "Compare plans in detail" grid relabeled its Voice Agents section from "Line" to "Managed Agents" and its agent-slot row to "Cartesia-provisioned phone numbers" (values unchanged), and voice localization is now described as "225 credits per added voice accent" rather than "as a one-time cost" (credit amount unchanged).
