Ideogram adds a P-Image model to its API, undercutting its own price floor

Ideogram pricing

Ideogram's API added a P-Image model (US$0.003-US$0.03/img) plus Object Removal and Describe V4 endpoints; consumer plan prices unchanged.

Before

Cheapest per-image API rate was Ideogram 1.0 Turbo at US$0.02/image; no Object Removal or Describe V4 endpoints existed.

After

New P-Image Ideogram model spans US$0.003-US$0.03/image by quality and resolution -- the new cheapest rate on the card -- alongside new Object Removal (US$0.03 1K / US$0.06 2K) and Describe V4 (US$0.015) utility endpoints.

Ideogram’s API Pricing page added a fourth model family, P-Image Ideogram, alongside the existing 4.0, 3.0, and legacy tiers. It is priced per output image by quality mode (Very Low / Low / Medium / High) and resolution (1K / 2K), running US$0.003-US$0.03/image — cheaper than every other model on the card, including the previous floor of US$0.02 (Ideogram 1.0 Turbo).

Two new utility endpoints also appeared: Object Removal (supply an image and mask; Ideogram fills the selected area) at US$0.03 (1K) / US$0.06 (2K) per input, and Describe V4, a higher-fidelity image-captioning endpoint powered by Ideogram 4.0, at US$0.015 per input versus the base Describe endpoint’s US$0.01.

No existing price moved. The consumer subscription ladder (Free US$0, Plus US$15/mo, Pro US$42/mo, Team US$20/user/mo, Enterprise contact-sales) and every previously listed API rate are unchanged from the 2026-07-22 capture. The consumer-facing pricing page (ideogram.ai/pricing) was bot-walled (Cloudflare challenge) to the automated capture on 2026-08-04; the unchanged consumer prices were corroborated via an independent live read-proxy render.
