OpenPipe platform sunset — openpipe.ai now a migration notice into Weights & Biases / CoreWeave
openpipe.ai has been replaced by a static migration notice ("The OpenPipe platform has migrated to Weights & Biases and CoreWeave. Browse migration details and the OpenPipe technical archive."), and docs.openpipe.ai — the host of its published rate card — no longer resolves in DNS. The standalone, independently priced OpenPipe product is gone roughly a year after CoreWeave closed its acquisition.
Observed 2026-09-10: openpipe.ai and every probed path (/careers, /privacy, /terms, /subprocessors, /legal, /security) return the same 646-byte static shell titled “OpenPipe”, whose meta description reads: “The OpenPipe platform has migrated to Weights & Biases and CoreWeave. Browse migration details and the OpenPipe technical archive.” The docs.openpipe.ai host — which served the pricing page cited as this company page’s sourceUrl — no longer resolves in DNS, so the published training and inference rate card is off the public web.
When: recent. The last Wayback capture of openpipe.ai, 2026-07-28, still served the live product site (title “OpenPipe | RL For Agents”), so the migration notice went up between 2026-07-28 and 2026-09-10.
Announced vs closed — two distinct facts, separately sourced. CoreWeave’s 2025-09-03 release is titled “CoreWeave To Acquire OpenPipe” and states it “today announced a definitive agreement to acquire OpenPipe Inc” — an announcement, not a close. Closure is evidenced by CoreWeave’s own SEC filings: the Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 2025-09-30 (filed 2025-11-13) states, “In connection with the closing of our acquisition of OpenPipe Inc., on September 5, 2025 we issued an aggregate of 272,169 shares of our Class A common stock to former holders of shares of OpenPipe Inc. common stock”; the FY2025 Form 10-K (filed 2026-03-02) confirms in the past tense, “in September 2025, we acquired OpenPipe, a leading platform for training AI agents with RL.” The announcement itself is already logged in openpipe-2025-09-03-coreweave-acquisition.md; this entry records the separate, much later event — the product surface and its independently published pricing going away.
