Salesforce launches Agentforce with consumption-based pricing

Salesforce pricing

Salesforce introduced Agentforce, its autonomous-agent platform, priced on consumption for AI-agent work rather than per human seat — reframing AI pricing as digital labor atop its seat-based CRM.

Before

CRM priced per user via the Sales/Service Cloud editions ladder

After

Editions ladder plus an Agentforce consumption meter for autonomous AI-agent work

Salesforce, the category-defining per-user CRM vendor, added Agentforce as an agentic layer on top of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. Rather than extend its seat-based edition ladder, Salesforce metered Agentforce on the work autonomous agents complete — a “digital labor” framing that priced AI by outcome/consumption rather than by named user. The meter has since evolved from early per-conversation pricing toward a Flex Credits / Flex Agents model; consult the live Agentforce pricing page for current rates.
