turbopuffer cuts Launch plan minimum from $64/mo to $16/mo
turbopuffer reduced the entry-tier Launch plan monthly minimum from $64 to $16, a 75% cut to its cheapest paid floor, for all new and existing customers.
Launch plan: $64/month usage minimum
Launch plan: $16/month usage minimum
turbopuffer reduced the monthly minimum on its entry-level Launch plan from $64 to $16, documented in the public pricing changelog on June 18, 2026. The change applies to all Launch customers, new and existing: those with $16 or less of metered usage in a month now pay $16 for that month, while heavier usage continues to bill on consumption. Existing Launch customers see the lower floor reflected from the July 1st invoice.
The cut lowers the cheapest paid turbopuffer entry point by 75% and narrows the gap with vector-database competitors that offer free tiers (turbopuffer still has none). The Scale ($256/mo) and Enterprise (>=$4,096/mo, 35% usage premium) minimums are unchanged, as are the per-unit usage rates. Separately, the turbopuffer pricing-page cost calculator now surfaces base per-unit ceilings — storage up to $0.33/GB, writes up to $2.00/GB, queries up to $1.00/PB — previously visible only implicitly inside the widget.
Three tiers (Launch $16/mo, Scale $256/mo, Enterprise ≥$4,096/mo at a 35% usage premium) act as monthly minimums on metered usage. Queried-data base rate is $1/PB, min 1.28 GB billable per query; writes and storage metered per GB with copy_from_namespace at a 50% write discount. The pricing-page cost calculator now surfaces the per-unit ceilings: storage up to $0.33/GB, writes up to $2.00/GB, queries up to $1.00/PB.
