Zoom buys its revenue systems of record but builds its own billing microservices

Zoom pricing

First monetization-stack pass on Zoom: Salesforce (CRM), Zuora (quote-to-cash/billing, confirmed by Zuora's own 2015-2017 case study), Stripe (payments, "at the core of our payments ecosystem" per Zoom's Head of Global Payments), Adyen/PayPal, Gainsight (customer success, per Gainsight's Dec 2022 press release), and Snowflake/Tableau (revenue analytics) are all bought. But a billing-engineering job posting frames those vendors as cross-functional PARTNER teams to an in-house org: Zoom's engineers build and own an 'Enterprise Billing platform' in Python/Node.js/AWS that stitches billing, partner, and Marketplace flows together. A newer Revenue Operations Analyst (AI Automation) req points agentic AI (Claude-based tooling) at that same CPQ-to-renewals pipeline next.
