Composio cuts Free's premium-tool credit, drops DPA add-on, reprices BAA
Composio removed Free's $2/month premium-tool credit, dropped the $500/mo DPA add-on, repriced BAA to $0.0003/call, and published exact per-provider premium rates.
Free plan included up to $2/month of premium-tool usage before billing kicked in. BAA was a flat $500/month add-on (paired with DPA, also $500/month). Direct execution, proxy execute, and sandbox execution add-ons had no published per-call rate. Premium-tool pricing was described only in broad categories (search APIs, sandboxes, ML inference).
Free plan's premium-tool line now reads 'Usage billed separately' — no free credit at all. DPA no longer appears anywhere on the pricing page as a purchasable add-on (only Enterprise's bundled 'MSA/DPA/SLA' mentions it). BAA is now a $0.0003-per-tool-call metered add-on. Direct execution ($0.0001/call), proxy execute ($0.0002/call), sandbox execution ($0.0001/call), and IP allowlist ($0.0001/call) all now have exact published rates. A new expandable price table lists ~16 named premium-tool providers with approximate per-call/per-request prices, including newly added Google Maps sub-services (~$0.0021-$0.042), Browser Use (~$0.70/task), Google Veo (~$1.20/video), Gemini image generation (~$0.14/image), Exa, SerpAPI, Tavily web search (~$0.008-$0.011/search), Groq, and Gemini text/embeddings.
Composio’s pricing page quietly restructured its add-on and premium-tool billing between the August 25 and September 7, 2026 captures. The plan cards, base tier prices ($0/$29/Custom), and core metered-dimension rates (tool calls, trigger events, LLM tokens) are unchanged — but three things moved underneath them.
First, the Free plan’s premium-tool allowance disappeared. Where the pricing page previously read “up to $2” of free premium-tool usage per month, it now reads “Usage billed separately” — meaning a Free-tier developer who calls a premium tool (search, sandboxes, media generation, and now Google Maps) is billed from the very first call, with no buffer.
Second, the DPA (data processing agreement) add-on is gone from the self-serve menu entirely. It no longer appears in the Free/Pro/Enterprise feature-comparison table or in the expanded Add-ons rate table, and Composio’s FAQ — which previously read “DPA and BAA are fixed $500-per-month compliance add-ons” — now mentions only BAA. DPA survives only as a bundled line item inside Enterprise’s “MSA / DPA / SLA” grouping, with no standalone price.
Third, BAA (HIPAA business associate agreement) switched pricing models: from a flat $500/month fixed fee to a metered $0.0003-per-tool-call charge, available on Pro and above. Three other previously-opaque add-ons — direct execution outside a session, proxy execute, and sandbox execution — went from “exact rate not published on the pricing page” to fully disclosed per-call rates ($0.0001, $0.0002, and $0.0001 per call respectively), and a newly expanded “Premium tools” accordion now lists approximate per-call or per-request prices for roughly 16 named third-party providers, including a brand-new Google Maps integration across eight sub-services.
Composio’s premium-tools documentation page (docs.composio.dev/toolkits/premium-tools) was also updated in this window — its title changed from “Pro Tools” to “Premium Tools” and it dropped the retired Totally Free / Ridiculously Cheap / Serious Business legacy-plan table. But the update is only partial: the docs page now says “Hobby includes up to $2/month of premium tool usage,” using a plan name (“Hobby”) retired in mid-2025 and citing the $2 credit the live pricing page just removed — a new docs/live inconsistency replacing the old one. Separately, the live page’s grandfathering footnote now reads “September 10, 2026” for when premium-tool billing applies to all customers, pushed back from the “September 1, 2026” date shown as of the prior capture.
