Labelbox retires its public pricing page and LBU calculator; the $0.10/LBU rate survives only in the docs
Labelbox's pricing page and LBU calculator now 404. The site repositions around Horizon, Terra and Recursion, leaving $0.10 per LBU published only in the docs.
A public pricing page at labelbox.com/pricing with a Free Tier vs Subscription Tier feature matrix (30 users, 50 projects, 25 ontologies, 1 workspace on Free), a Pricing link in both the main nav and the footer, an Estimate your cost calculator at labelbox.com/pricing/calculator/, and three named service lines: Standard Services, Alignerr Services and Alignerr Connect.
labelbox.com/pricing, labelbox.com/pricing/calculator/ and labelbox.com/plans all return HTTP 404. No Pricing link in the nav or footer. The homepage leads with 'The RL data engine for AI teams' and three products - Horizon, Terra and Recursion - plus Alignerr, with Contact us and Start for free as the only calls to action. The Starter rate of $0.10 per LBU and the 500 LBU/month free allowance now appear only in the docs Limits table.

Labelbox has deleted the pricing surface it had published for years. On 2026-09-11 labelbox.com/pricing, labelbox.com/pricing/calculator/ and labelbox.com/plans all return HTTP 404, and no Pricing link survives in the site header or footer. The June 2026 capture of that page showed a full Free-vs-Subscription feature matrix and an “Estimate your cost” calculator; none of it is reachable now.
The homepage that replaced it is a different company’s homepage. Labelbox now leads with “The RL data engine for AI teams” and organises around Horizon (RL environments and preference signals for post-training and evals), Terra (full-stack data products for robotics foundation models), Recursion (announced in a site-wide banner as “the RL platform for enterprise specialist agents”) and Alignerr (an expert network sized at 2.6M+ knowledge experts). Catalog, Annotate and Model - the three products the LBU meter actually prices - appear nowhere on it. Every route is “Contact us” or “Start for free.”
The rate itself did not move. The docs still state a fixed rate of $0.10 per LBU on Starter and 500 LBU free each month on Free, and the Limits page now carries four tier columns: Free, Starter, Enterprise and Education. What changed is who has to go looking. The only first-party publication of the price is a limits table inside developer documentation - a real downgrade in buyer-facing transparency, even though the number is unchanged and still readable without a login.
