Lago case study confirms Mistral's full billing/finance stack: Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, BigQuery

Mistral AI pricing

An updated Lago customer case study (dateModified 2026-09-03) upgrades what was previously only inferred from a job posting into vendor-stated fact: Lago meters/bills, Stripe processes payments, Salesforce holds customer/contract context, SAP S/4HANA runs accounting and financial close, and BigQuery powers billing analysis and revenue reporting. Separately, Mistral's ATS migrated from Lever to Ashby, and a new 'Product Manager, Enterprise Controls' posting shows the customer-facing entitlements/platform-administration layer (RBAC, SSO, SCIM) is being built in-house.

Lago rewrote its Mistral customer story (“How Mistral built a billing stack that keeps pace with frontier AI,” getlago.com/blog/mistral-billing, dateModified 2026-09-03; the older /customers/mistral URL now redirects to it) with a materially more detailed architecture description than the version it replaced: “Mistral’s billing environment spans the systems its product, commercial and finance teams rely on: … Salesforce is used for customer and contract context. SAP S/4HANA supports accounting and financial close. BigQuery is used for billing analysis and revenue reporting.” Salesforce and SAP were previously only inferable from a job posting (the earlier case-study version named Salesforce as Mistral’s CRM but not its role in billing); BigQuery is a net-new stack entry (analytics).

Separately, Mistral’s job board has moved from Lever to Ashby (jobs.ashbyhq.com/mistral.ai, 175 open roles) — jobs.lever.co/mistral now 404s and the Lever API returns an empty board, so every prior Lever posting URL is dead. The underlying evidence survives: the job quotes are re-sourced to Wayback snapshots or to live equivalent Ashby postings carrying the same phrasing, so only the ATS moved.

A newly observed posting, “Product Manager, Enterprise Controls,” indicates Mistral is building its enterprise entitlements/platform-administration layer (RBAC, SSO, SCIM, “Platform Administration & Billing”) in-house rather than buying it — the JD says the role is critical because contracts are “already secured” with ASML, CMA-CGM and Stellantis. A dedicated “RFP & Bid Manager, AI Solutions” (MENA Sales org) also now appears, the clearest deal-desk signal yet as the sovereign/enterprise sales motion expands into the MEA region.
