Flux.1 Kontext Pro image price jumps 10x as Novita prunes catalog to 172 models

Novita AI’s per-token/per-image rate card moved on two fronts in the same capture cycle. The clearest signal is a straight repricing: Flux.1 Kontext Pro, one of the platform’s premium image-editing models, rose from $0.036 to $0.36 per image — a 10x increase that now makes it pricier than the ostensibly higher-tier Flux.1 Kontext Max ($0.072/image), which held steady. The prior rate was independently confirmed across three earlier captures (2026-07-06, 2026-07-21 main pricing page, and the 2026-07-21 models catalog), so this is a genuine vendor price change rather than a transcription artifact.

Alongside the repricing, Novita’s model catalog shrank from 196 to 172 listed models. The cut concentrated in video and image-editing SKUs: Hunyuan Video Fast, the PixVerse V4.5 family, and the entire Kling-o1 lineup (image-to-video, text-to-video, video editing, and reference-video variants) were removed, along with several standalone image-editing actions (Cleanup, Inpainting, Replace Background). Google’s Veo 3.1 was added as a new video model (from $0.10/video at 720p). This continues Novita’s established pattern of periodically pruning superseded media SKUs (the catalog also fell from 221 to 196 on 2026-07-21) while it keeps adding frontier-class LLMs to the top of its rate card.
