Pinecone Nexus reaches general availability
Pinecone's Nexus agent knowledge engine moved from public preview to general availability on the pricing page. Access remains request/trial-gated with no public price disclosed; core Database, Inference, and Assistant rates are unchanged.
Nexus was in public preview ("Request access" CTA), announced 2026-07-23.
Nexus is generally available ("Request trial" CTA); still no public pricing shown.
Pinecone’s pricing page now banners “Pinecone Nexus is now generally available” — up from the “Public Preview” status confirmed on 2026-07-23. Nexus is the company’s agent knowledge engine, offloading retrieval, assembly, and reasoning from the LLM to a dedicated layer that updates only when underlying data changes rather than on every agent call.
Despite the GA label, the product card’s call-to-action still reads “Request trial” rather than “View Pricing” (the pattern used by Database, Inference, and Assistant), so Nexus remains gated with no self-serve or published pricing. No changes were found to Database, Inference, or Assistant rates, plan minimums, or usage-unit pricing between the 2026-07-23 and 2026-08-11 captures.
Serverless pricing now documents four usage meters — read units, write units, storage, and egress ($0.10/GB, 100 GB/mo included on Standard/Enterprise). Pinecone Nexus (agent knowledge engine) launched in public preview. Core RU/WU/storage plan rates unchanged; the $250 (1 TB) bulk-import credit was extended to 2026-08-31.
