Tavus moves its 50%-off-first-month promo from Starter up to the Builder tier

Tavus pricing

Tavus's Most Popular Builder plan now shows $59/mo struck through against a $29 first month, while the $22 Starter plan loses its discount and is relabelled 'No pay as you go coverage'.

Before

Starter $22/mo carried a '50% OFF FIRST MONTH' badge and a '+ pay as you go overage' sub-label; Builder $59/mo had no introductory discount.

After

Builder $59/mo shows 'First month 50% off' at $29/mo; Starter $22/mo has no discount badge and its price card reads 'No pay as you go coverage'.

Tavus shifted the introductory discount on its developer Conversational Video Interface (CVI) pricing page one rung up the ladder. The Builder plan — the tier flagged “Most Popular” — now displays its $59/mo list price struck through against a $29/mo first month under a “First month 50% off” label, and the same strikethrough repeats in the Compare Plans matrix header. The $22/mo Starter plan, which carried the “50% OFF FIRST MONTH” badge in the previous snapshot, no longer shows any introductory discount.

At the same time Tavus corrected Starter’s price-card sub-label from ”+ pay as you go overage” to “No pay as you go coverage” — bringing the card into line with the Compare Plans matrix, which has listed no pay-as-you-go rate for Free or Starter all along. Overage therefore begins at Builder ($0.35/min), then Growth ($0.31/min) and Business ($0.26/min). List prices themselves are unchanged (Free, $22, $59, $397, $975, Custom), as are the included-minute allowances (20 / 60 / 175 / 1,300 / 4,000) and the video-generation ($1 / $0.90 / $0.80 per minute) and conversation-recording ($0.03/min) rates.

The net effect is to make the recommended tier cheaper to try and the entry tier a firmer hard cap: a buyer who expects to exceed 60 minutes now has no discounted on-ramp below Builder, and no metered path above Starter’s allowance.

From Tavus's pricing timeline
PALs price list withdrawn; intro discount moves from Starter to Builder

Tavus stopped publishing consumer PALs prices — tavus.io/pals/pricing now 301-redirects to the developer pricing page and the /pals product page carries no dollar figure — leaving the developer CVI plans as the only listed prices. On the same page, the '50% off first month' promo moved up a rung from the $22 Starter to the $59 Builder tier ($29 first month), and Starter's price card was relabelled 'No pay as you go coverage'. List prices and all per-minute rates are unchanged.

About Tavus
tavus.io ↗

Tavus prices its Conversational Video Interface (CVI) API as a hybrid: a monthly access fee (Free, Starter $22/mo, Builder $59/mo, Growth $397/mo, Business $975/mo, Enterprise custom) bundles included video minutes, then bills uncapped pay-as-you-go beyond the allowance on Builder and above; the Free and $22 Starter plans carry no pay-as-you-go rate at all, so their included minutes act as a hard cap rather than a bucket.
