Usage AI redesigns pricing page and pulls its fee percentage off-site

Usage AI pricing

Usage AI's mid-2026 redesign removed the inline fee calculator and ICR-vs-ESR comparison from its pricing page; the fee is now described only as 'a percentage of realized savings,' with 20% (EC2) / 35% (RDS-class) surviving only on AWS Marketplace.

Before

Pricing page published an inline fee calculator (a ~15% worked example: a $1,200 fee on $8,000/mo of savings) plus an ICR-vs-ESR comparison table, and the FAQ referenced a '~20% fee.'

After

No fee percentage anywhere on usage.ai; the FAQ now reads only 'a percentage of the savings we realize for you, billed monthly.' The page repositions around Insured Commitments + Autopilot and a personalized 'Save 30-50%' projection; traction updated to $1B+ cloud spend managed. The only published rate is the AWS Marketplace listing: 20% of EC2 savings, 35% on RDS/ElastiCache/Redshift/OpenSearch.

Usage AI (usage.ai) refreshed both its pricing page and homepage in mid-2026. The savings-share business model is unchanged — a percentage of realized cloud savings, $0 platform fee, no minimum, no contract, full cashback on underused commitments, and buyback with no lock-in — but the presentation changed materially.

The previous pricing page carried an inline fee calculator (worked example: $20,000/mo of cloud spend produced $8,000/mo of savings, split $6,800 to the customer and $1,200 to Usage.ai, an effective ~15% take) and an Insured Commitment Rate (ICR) vs Effective Savings Rate (ESR) comparison. Both are gone. The fee is now described only as “a percentage of the savings we realize for you, billed monthly against verified savings,” with no number printed anywhere on the site. The only publicly documented rate is now the company’s AWS Marketplace listing — 20% of realized savings on EC2 and 35% on RDS, ElastiCache, Redshift, and OpenSearch.

Alongside the transparency change, the homepage repositions around two named platform pillars — “Insured Commitments” and “Autopilot” (continuous, per-account automated commitment buying and rebalancing) — under an “Insurance for your cloud commitments” / “Save 30-50%” banner, and updates traction to “$1B+ cloud spend managed” (from a prior “$300M+ saved” headline). Cashback is now framed as refundable “as cashback or cloud credits,” where earlier copy emphasized cash.
