Vellum renames Custom plan's credit bundle to usage bundle, narrows menu to 3 tiers

Vellum pricing

Vellum renamed the Custom plan's optional recurring credit top-up from 'credit bundle' to 'usage bundle' and cut its menu from five flexible amounts to three fixed tiers matching the Mighty/Super/Ultra presets, while grandfathering existing subscribers' old bundles.

Before

Custom plan's optional recurring credit bundle: any of $10, $25, $50, $100, or $200/mo, 1:1 dollar-to-credit, unrelated to the preset package names.

After

Custom plan's optional recurring usage bundle: only Mighty ($25/mo), Super ($45/mo), or Ultra ($115/mo) — the same three amounts bundled into the named preset packages. Subscribers already on a bundle at another amount keep it. Docs also newly disclose that included usage does not roll over between billing cycles and purchased pay-as-you-go credits expire 12 months after purchase.

Vellum’s Custom plan lets buyers assemble Pro from individual dials — a platform fee, a machine tier, a storage tier, and an optional recurring credit top-up. That last dial, previously a “credit bundle” purchasable at five arbitrary amounts ($10 to $200/mo), was renamed “usage bundle” and its menu narrowed to exactly the three amounts already bundled into the Mighty, Super, and Ultra preset packages ($25, $45, $115/mo) — tightening the Custom builder’s optionality to mirror the presets rather than offering independent price points. The change ships alongside new billing-transparency disclosures: included usage expires unused at the end of each billing cycle, while purchased credits last a full 12 months.
