BambooHR ships Elite, its first third tier — a mid-market push built on compensation and benchmarking
Elite went live on BambooHR's pricing page badged New!, after sitting there labelled 'coming soon' since at least 7 March 2025. It adds Compensation Management, Custom Dashboards & Analytics, HR Benchmarks and a Premium Services bundle on top of Pro. No price was published at launch; Elite's $25 USD per employee per month rate did not appear on the plan card until March 2026.

BambooHR added a third tier for the first time in its history. Elite appears on the pricing page as “coming soon” in the archive snapshot of 7 March 2025 and is still coming soon on 18 May 2025; by 9 June 2025 it is badged New! and its features are live.
Two first-party markers bracket the launch precisely. The Terms of Service dated 19 May 2025 names Elite in its list of subscription packages — “Core, Pro, Elite, Payroll, BenAdmin” — while defining Per-Employee-Per-Month (“PEPM”) list pricing for the first time. A BambooHR press release dated 22 May 2025 describes the three-tier structure alongside the Ask BambooHR AI assistant. HR-tech advisory Outsail then covered the package’s marketing launch on 17 September 2025, describing it as “a strategic move to capture the mid-market” aimed at organisations of 500 to 2,500 employees after an extended beta.
What Elite actually adds over Pro, per the live compare-all-features matrix: Compensation Management (benchmarking, planning, pay visualisation, total rewards statements), Custom Dashboards & Analytics, five categories of HR Benchmarks, Compliance Training expanded from 15 courses to 300+, an applicant-tracking cap raised from 25 to 50 job openings, and a Premium Services bundle. The AI assistant also steps up: Core answers HR data questions, Pro adds company policies and docs, Elite adds benchmark questions and analysis.
The Premium Services bundle is worth reading carefully, because its specification changed between the coming-soon page and the shipped product. The March 2025 preview listed it in monthly units — “Professional Services (1 hr/month)”, “Annual business review (1 hr)”, “New admin training (1 hr)”, “New feature implementation (30 mins)”, “Exclusive insider webinars”. The current page specifies annual allowances instead: “New Administrator Training (2 Sessions per Year)”, “Data Integrity Services (2 Hours per Year)”, “Additional 30 Days of Implementation for Elite Features”, “Exclusive Insider Webinars”, and “Two Exclusive Learning Labs and an Elite Learning Path”.
Elite shipped without a price. BambooHR published no rate for any plan until September 2025, and Elite’s $25 USD per employee per month did not appear on the plan card itself until the March 2026 pricing page.
