Poolside discounts Laguna S 2.1 API pricing 10%

Poolside pricing

Poolside cut its Laguna S 2.1 API rate 10% to $0.09/$0.18 per 1M input/output tokens on OpenRouter, the first price move since the model's $0.10/$0.20 July 2026 launch; Laguna XS 2.1 holds at its existing 40%-off $0.06/$0.12 rate.

Before

Laguna S 2.1: $0.10/$0.20 per 1M input/output tokens, no promotional badge, listed on OpenRouter since its Jul 21, 2026 launch.

After

Laguna S 2.1: $0.09/$0.18 per 1M input/output tokens, shown with a "10% off" badge on OpenRouter as of Aug 4, 2026.

Poolside’s self-serve Laguna line got its first price move since its July 2026 launch: Laguna S 2.1 now lists at $0.09/$0.18 per 1M input/output tokens on OpenRouter, down 10% from its $0.10/$0.20 launch rate, while the smaller Laguna XS 2.1 holds at its existing $0.06/$0.12 (“40% off”) rate. Poolside’s own site still carries no rate card for either model — the price lives entirely on OpenRouter and Vercel AI Gateway, the third-party marketplaces Poolside uses instead of publishing pricing itself.

Effective (post prompt-cache) pricing on OpenRouter’s trailing 7-day weighted average now sits at $0.011/$0.179 per 1M for Laguna S 2.1 (97.7% cache-hit rate) and $0.036/$0.119 per 1M for Laguna XS 2.1 (80.6% cache-hit rate) — both well under list, reinforcing that agentic coding workloads with repeated context pay meaningfully less than the sticker rate.

From Poolside's pricing timeline
Laguna S 2.1 discounted 10% to $0.09/$0.18 per 1M tokens

Two weeks after its Jul 21 launch, Laguna S 2.1's OpenRouter listing dropped 10% from $0.10/$0.20 to $0.09/$0.18 per 1M input/output tokens (shown with a "10% off" badge) — the self-serve Laguna line's first repricing event. Laguna XS 2.1 held at its existing $0.06/$0.12 ("40% off") rate; Poolside's own site still carries no rate card for either model.
