Replit drops its free Starter plan; paid Core becomes the entry point
Replit removed the free Starter plan from its pricing page. The cheapest way in is now Core at $20/mo ($18 annual), with the credit-free 'Free Mode' repositioned as a paid-plan allowance.
Four plans: free Starter (free daily Agent credits, 1 published project), Core, Pro, Enterprise
Three paid plans: Core $20/mo ($18 annual), Pro $100/mo ($90 annual), Enterprise custom — no free tier listed
Replit’s pricing page no longer lists a free plan. The 2026-08-28 capture still showed a Starter card offering free daily Agent credits, a built-in database and one published project; the 2026-09-11 capture shows only Core, Pro and Enterprise, and the “What are all the features included in these plans?” comparison table has dropped from four columns to three.
What replaced it is Free Mode, the credit-free Agent mode Replit launched on 2026-08-18 — but Free Mode is sold as an entitlement of a paid plan, not a plan of its own. Core’s card now advertises “Up to 30 hours of chat on Free Mode” and “Up to 60 projects on Free Mode,” and Pro promises “even more Free Mode usage to chat and create.” Replit’s own launch post states that “Core and Pro users can use Free Mode until they reach their usage limits - which reset every 5 hours - or continue building in Power or Max Modes.”
Prices themselves did not move: Core remains $20/mo billed monthly or $18/mo billed annually, Pro remains $100/mo monthly or $90/mo annually, and the annual toggle still reads “Up to 10% off.” Core’s card did lose two lines in the reshuffle — its “2 parallel agents” entitlement and the “Remove ‘Made with Replit’ badge” perk are both gone from the plan card. The net effect is that the funnel Replit widened twice this year with price cuts now has a paywall at its mouth.
Replit's pricing page dropped the free Starter card entirely. The 2026-08-28 capture still showed Starter (free daily Agent credits, 1 published project); the 2026-09-11 capture shows only Core, Pro, and Enterprise, and the plan-comparison table has three columns instead of four. In its place, 'Free Mode' — launched 2026-08-18 — is now sold as a paid-plan entitlement: Core advertises up to 30 hours of chat and up to 60 projects on Free Mode, Pro gets 'even more Free Mode usage'. Core also lost its '2 parallel agents' line and the 'Remove Made with Replit badge' perk from the card. Prices were unchanged: Core $20 monthly / $18 annual, Pro $100 monthly / $90 annual, 'Up to 10% off' annually.
