Sendbird spins its AI agent onto a separate brand and domain as Delight.ai — still no published price

The AI agent sold from sendbird.com as an unpriced tab on the main pricing page, positioned as 'Enterprise-grade AI. Human helpdesk included for free' with 'No per-agent fees' and 'Consumption-based pricing' (archived 2025-06-10).
The AI agent trades as Delight.ai on delight.ai, with its own competitive set (vs Decagon, Sierra, Fin, Ada, Cresta, Avoca), its own careers page, and no rate card. Sendbird's on-domain AI surface is reduced to a lead form at sendbird.com/ai/contact-sales.
Sendbird announced Delight.ai on 18 November 2025 (PR Newswire, dateline San Mateo, Calif.), describing it as “the first branded AI concierge built on long-term memory” — an agent that persists context across in-app chat, voice, SMS, email and social, built on Sendbird’s Trust OS and targeted at mid-market and enterprise brands. The release carries no pricing, packaging or per-resolution detail of any kind.
The structural change matters more than the product framing. Sendbird’s pricing estate now spans two domains with two transparency postures. Chat, Business Messaging and Calls price on sendbird.com, where Chat publishes a full MAU ladder and Calls publishes six per-minute rates. The AI agent prices — or declines to price — on delight.ai, where delight.ai/pricing redirects to a blog article about AI-agent pricing models that contains no Delight.ai prices. There is no free trial: Sendbird’s own AI FAQ states “While we don’t offer a free trial, you can contact us for a personalized demo.”
The rebrand runs deeper than the product page. As of 5 September 2026, sendbird.com/ai-agent and sendbird.com/careers both return 301 redirects to delight.ai — the company’s hiring surface now lives on the AI brand’s domain rather than the chat API’s. The comparison set moved with it: delight.ai benchmarks against Decagon, Sierra, Fin, Ada, Cresta and Avoca, a customer-service AI field, while sendbird.com/stream-comparison still benchmarks the chat product against Stream.
The one quantified artifact on the AI side is a public ROI calculator that takes tickets per month, agent headcount, annual cost per agent and an optional helpdesk seat fee, and emits a three-year savings model including a line labelled “Sendbird annual cost” — a figure derived from the buyer’s own inputs, not from any disclosed rate. Its stated wedge is seat economics: “Skip the monthly agent seat fees. Desk is included.”
Follow-on: Agent Steward launched on the Delight.ai platform on 7 May 2026, again announced with no pricing or packaging detail.
