Gusto Global's Employer of Record add-on disappears from the public pricing page

Gusto pricing

The Employer of Record line — which had advertised a discounted $599 against a $699 per-employee-per-month list price since April 2024, with its deadline rolled forward four times — is gone from Gusto's add-on grid. Global contractor payments at $5 per payment is now the only international option shown.

Before

Add-on grid listing Gusto Global Employer of Record (EOR) services to onboard and pay employees around the world, with $699 struck through against $599 per employee per month discounted pricing through March 15, 2026 (archived 29 March 2026).

After

No Employer of Record line item anywhere in the add-on grid. Global contractor payments at $5 per payment to US-based bank accounts is the only international option listed (archived 25 May 2026).

Gusto Global’s Employer of Record service had a long and instructive run on the public add-on grid.

It first appears in February 2024 at a $699 per-employee-per-month list price with a $629.10 promotional rate — a straight 10% discount. By April 2024 the promotion deepened to $599, described as running through December 31, 2024.

That deadline was then rolled forward four times without the price changing: to 31 December 2025 (visible from the February 2025 capture), to 15 January 2026 (December 2025 capture), and to 15 March 2026 (March 2026 capture). The terms attached to the offer are notable for their reach: fees for each employee engaged through Gusto Global would increase to $699 after the deadline, “including for employees engaged through Gusto Global on or before January 15, 2026” — that is, the increase was written to apply retroactively to existing engagements, not only to new ones.

By the 25 May 2026 capture the entire line item is gone from the add-on grid, and it is still absent on 10 September 2026. Global contractor payments at $5 per payment to US-based bank accounts in more than 120 countries is now the only international option Gusto prices publicly.

The exact fate of the product is not established from Gusto’s own surfaces — this entry records only that the priced add-on left the public pricing page between 29 March and 25 May 2026.
