On 2026-06-15 Salesforce signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fin — the customer-service AI company that renamed itself from Intercom to Fin in May 2026 — for approximately $3.6 billion. The deal is expected to close in Q4 of Salesforce’s fiscal 2027 (roughly early 2027), subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
Fin brings its AI Agent — which Salesforce says resolves on average 76% of support volume end-to-end across chat, email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone and Slack — a proprietary post-trained support model called Apex, and more than 30,000 customers. Salesforce frames Fin as complementary to its Agentforce platform (which reached $1.2B ARR in Q1 FY27): Fin’s rapid mid-market deployment alongside Agentforce’s customizable enterprise offering. Co-founder Eoghan McCabe remains CEO.
At announcement, customer-facing pricing is unchanged: the Fin AI Agent stays at $0.99 per resolution (50-resolution monthly minimum on standalone), and the seat plans hold at Essential $29 / Advanced $85 / Expert $132 per seat/mo (alongside the live 35%-off-Essential new-customer offer that takes Essential to $19). Any repricing or packaging integration into the Salesforce stack would follow deal close.
