Intercom's Essential discount disappears again — back to $29/$39 list, fin.ai still shows $19

Intercom pricing

The 'Save 35%' Essential offer that returned 2026-07-21 is no longer showing on Intercom's pricing page or calculator; Essential is back to its $29/seat/mo annual ($39 monthly) list price with no discount banner. fin.ai/pricing's Intercom-helpdesk seat anchor still shows $19.

Before

Essential $19/seat/mo annual offer (Save 35%, live since 2026-07-21); $29/seat/mo monthly offer

After

Essential $29/seat/mo annual list ($348/yr); $39/seat/mo monthly list; no discount banner on main site

Intercom’s new-customer Essential discount — which came back on 2026-07-21 as an A/B experiment (team-self-serve-essential-price-reduction) and was confirmed present again on the 2026-08-11, 2026-08-12, and 2026-08-13 captures — is gone from the main pricing surfaces as of the 2026-08-14 capture. Both intercom.com/pricing and intercom.com/pricing/calculator now render Essential cleanly at $29/seat/mo on annual billing and $39/seat/mo on monthly billing, on both toggle states, with no “Save 35%” / “Save 25%” banner and no struck-through price. The calculator’s annualised total reads “Billed annually at $468.00 $348.00” — the standard 12-month annual-vs-monthly discount ($39 → $29/seat), not a promotional strike.

This is the second time this specific offer has switched off since it first appeared on 2026-06-24: it ran roughly a week, ended by 2026-06-30, came back 2026-07-21, and has now disappeared again roughly three weeks later. fin.ai/pricing’s “Fin with the Intercom helpdesk” seat anchor has not followed the same pattern — it still shows $0.99 per outcome + $19 per helpdesk seat/mo on the same 2026-08-14 capture, reconfirming that surface runs its own, uncorrelated pricing variant rather than tracking the main site’s promo state.

Nothing else moved. Advanced holds at $85/seat/mo annual ($99 monthly), Expert at $132/seat/mo annual ($139 monthly), the add-on rack is unchanged (Pro from $99/mo, Proactive Support Plus from $99/mo, Copilot $29/agent/mo annual or $35 monthly), and the $0.99-per-Fin-outcome meter — the line that actually drives an Intercom bill at volume — is untouched.

Essential Discount Disappears Again — Second Off-Flip Since June

The new-customer Essential discount that returned 2026-07-21 (and was reconfirmed on the 2026-08-11/12/13 captures) is off again: intercom.com/pricing and its calculator show Essential at the clean $29/seat/mo annual ($39 monthly) list price on both billing toggles, with no 'Save 35%'/'Save 25%' banner or struck-through price. This is the second time this specific offer has switched off since it first appeared 2026-06-24 (live ~1 week, off by 2026-06-30, back 2026-07-21, off again roughly three weeks later). fin.ai/pricing's independent Intercom-helpdesk seat anchor still shows $19/seat/mo the same day. Advanced ($85/$99), Expert ($132/$139), and the $0.99-per-Fin-outcome meter are unchanged.

About Intercom
intercom.com ↗

Intercom uses a hybrid model: seat-based platform access listed at $29–$132 per seat per month across three tiers (Essential, Advanced, Expert), plus $0.99 per Fin AI resolution — charged only when Fin successfully closes a conversation, not per query or token. Intercom has intermittently discounted Essential to $19 per seat per month on annual billing as an A/B-tested new-customer offer (live 2026-06-24 to 2026-06-30 and again 2026-07-21 to roughly 2026-08-13), but as of 2026-08-14 the offer is off and Essential shows its clean $29 list rate with no discount banner.
