Paylocity pricing

Confirmed in Paylocity's FY2026 10-K: on 2023-11-30 Paylocity acquired all outstanding shares of TraceHQ.com, Inc. for cash consideration of $12,086 thousand. Trace's headcount-planning product is now a named module inside Paylocity for Finance, sold with no published price.

After

Headcount Planning as a Finance-suite module: headcount, budget and hiring plans in one view, cross-functional shared workflows, and real-time payroll and position data. Quoted in the Order; no rate published.

Paylocity acquired TraceHQ.com, Inc. through a merger with a subsidiary on 30 November 2023 for cash consideration of $12,086 thousand — about $12.1M — subject to working-capital and customary purchase-price adjustments. The purchase-price allocation was approximately $6.8M goodwill and $4.2M proprietary technology, per Note 7 of the FY2026 Form 10-K, which describes Trace as offering “a headcount planning solution that expands the Company’s product functionality in this area.”

Trace is the smallest of Paylocity’s four recent acquisitions and the one that took longest to surface as a buyer-facing product. It did not appear as a named module until Paylocity for Finance launched on 22 July 2025 — the /products/finance/ page, which lists Headcount Planning alongside Expense Management, Corporate Cards, AP Automation and Guided Procurement, is first archived on 2025-07-18.

Like every other Paylocity module, Headcount Planning carries no published price. The Finance suite FAQ frames the packaging as pick-and-mix: “Yes. Paylocity for Finance can be implemented in whole or in part. Organizations can add new modules as their needs grow and evolve.” What it costs to add one is set in the Order.
