Paylocity rebuilds its pricing page around HR / Finance / IT and deletes the only sentence that named its meter
The pricing surface moved from /our-products/pricing/ to /pricing/ alongside the Paylocity for Finance launch. The new page adds Finance and IT tabs — and drops the FAQ entry 'What is Paylocity's cost per employee?', the single place on the site that stated Paylocity is priced per employee per month.

The pricing FAQ survives but is down to three questions: customising the HR Suite, implementation help, and how to switch payroll providers. No statement of the meter, and still no dollar figure. Paylocity’s pricing page changed URL and structure in the same week it launched Paylocity for Finance, its Airbase-derived spend-management suite. The Wayback Machine’s last capture of the old surface at /our-products/pricing/ is 2025-06-12; the first capture of the new /pricing/ is 2025-07-23, one day after the Finance launch. Every one of the new suite pages — /products/finance/, /products/it/, /products/capabilities/ai/ and /products/hr/payroll/global-payroll/ — is first archived between 2025-07-18 and 2025-07-21, so this was a single coordinated information-architecture release, not a drift.
The packaging story is the obvious half: the pricing page stopped being an HR-and-payroll page and became a three-suite page, with Finance (expense, corporate cards, AP automation, guided procurement, headcount planning) and IT (access management, asset management, developer APIs) presented as peers of HR.
The pricing story is the quieter half. The old page carried a five-question FAQ; the top two questions were “How much does Paylocity cost?” and “What is Paylocity’s cost per employee?”. The second was answered directly:
“Paylocity is priced per employee per month (PEPM) depending on the features you select for your plan. Our price per individual employee does not increase as your business grows. So if your organization expands from 10 to 100 employees, your price per employee will not increase.”
That sentence had been on the pricing page continuously since at least 2022-11-10. On the rebuilt page it is gone. The remaining three questions — “Can I customize Paylocity’s HR Suite?”, “Will Paylocity help me set up the platform?”, “How do I switch payroll companies?” — are carried over verbatim, so the FAQ component itself was not rebuilt; the pricing entries were removed from it.
Net effect: the page named “Pricing” now discloses less about how the bill is computed than it did before. The PEPM claim survives only on the small-business payroll page, which no midsize or enterprise buyer is routed to. Paylocity’s own 10-K continues to describe the model in more detail than the pricing page does — “Recurring fees for each client generally include a base fee in addition to a fee based on the number of client employees and the number of products a client uses” — a base fee the website has never mentioned.
Neither surface has ever published a rate. A dollar-sign scan of 29 archived captures of the pricing and small-business pages spanning 2020-08-06 to 2026-09-08 returns zero price figures.
