Wispr Flow's help center documents a free unlimited-words plan for verified students

Wispr Flow pricing

A help-center article now describes a standalone free, unlimited-words student plan claimed via a desktop-app sidebar card, alongside the existing 3-months-free-then-$6/mo Pro discount still shown on the public students page.

Before

The only student pricing path was a 3-month free Pro trial, then $6/month (50% off Pro, new subscribers only, billed annually).

After

The Flow Discounts help-center article now separately describes a verified-student-only free, unlimited-words plan ('Claim free plan — no credit card required') via a desktop-app sidebar card, distinct from the paid discount funnel; the two paths are not yet reconciled across wisprflow.ai/students and the help center.

Four new FAQ entries appeared in the Flow Discounts help-center article (marked “updated 5 days ago” as of this 2026-08-04 capture, i.e. roughly 2026-07-30) that were absent from the 2026-07-22 capture of the same page: “Is the student plan really free? Are there any hidden costs?”, “I’m a student — will I be charged the discounted price shown on the Pro plan card?”, “I’m on Pro — can I switch to the free student plan?”, and “Why does my iOS Plans screen show ‘Free’ with no price for my student plan?”. The “Who qualifies” bullet for students also changed from “Discounted Pro pricing (availability may vary — contact support to check eligibility)” to “Free unlimited words on an annual plan — no credit card required,” and a new callout was added: “If you’re a student, look for the ‘Students get free unlimited words’ card in the desktop sidebar and click Claim free plan — no credit card required.”

The wording (“switch to the free student plan”) implies this is a distinct, ongoing free plan rather than the same 3-month trial that later converts to a paid $6/month (₹160/month from an India vantage point) subscription. Wispr has not updated the public wisprflow.ai/students marketing page to reflect it — that page, captured the same day, is unchanged and still advertises “Get 3 months free for finals — Auto renews at 50% off. Cancel anytime,” so the two student-facing offers currently coexist without being reconciled in Wispr’s public copy.
