Wispr Flow reverts its brief free-unlimited-words student plan

On 2026-08-04 this tracker captured a newly-added student offer in Wispr’s Flow Discounts help-center article: a free, unlimited-words annual plan for verified students, claimed via a “Students get free unlimited words” card in the desktop app sidebar with a “Claim free plan — no credit card required” button, supported by four new FAQ entries (“Is the student plan really free? Are there any hidden costs?”, “I’m a student — will I be charged the discounted price shown on the Pro plan card?”, “I’m on Pro — can I switch to the free student plan?”, “Why does my iOS Plans screen show ‘Free’ with no price for my student plan?”).

A follow-up capture on 2026-08-11 (article timestamp “last updated 6 days ago,” i.e. roughly 2026-08-05) shows that offer has been withdrawn. The article’s “Who qualifies” section is back to the pre-2026-07-30 wording — “Student: Discounted Pro pricing (availability may vary — contact support to check eligibility)” — and the four dedicated FAQ entries are gone, leaving only the original two (“What verification do I need?”, “How long does approval take?”). The public wisprflow.ai/students marketing page never mentioned the free plan and is unchanged throughout both captures, still advertising “3 months free, then $6/month (50% off Pro, new subscribers only).” Net effect for buyers: Wispr’s student pricing is back to a single, consistent offer across every public surface, after roughly a week where the help center and the marketing page disagreed.
