15Five acquires Kona, the AI manager coach that joins virtual meetings
15Five acquired Kona, an AI assistant that sits in managers' Zoom and Google Meet calls to deliver coaching in the flow of work, and shipped it as a priced 15Five add-on within five months.
Kona, founded in 2019, joins virtual meetings and delivers privacy-conscious coaching and enablement to remote managers. 15Five launched it as a 15Five product at its 15Five Next event in May 2025, and it first carried a price on the pricing card in June 2025 at $29 per manager per month.
The acquisition matters to the pricing story because of what 15Five chose to charge for. The AI it built itself — AMAYA, AI-Assisted Reviews and later the Agents layer — ships bundled inside the Perform seat price. The AI it bought is the only AI on the card with a line item of its own.
