Greenhouse repackages to Core, Plus and Pro and adds an uncapped renewal-increase right

Greenhouse pricing

Six Greenhouse legal documents were re-dated 1 February 2026 and the plan table was rebuilt from Essential, Advanced and Expert into Core, Plus and Pro. The MSA gained the sentence: Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal, with no cap. None of it was announced.

Before

Pricing page showed Essential, Advanced and Expert, stated that prices vary based on the size of your company, carried an add-on shelf for Onboarding, Sourcing automation, HRIS Link and Integrations, and footnoted Texting powered by Grayscale, Sandbox sync and Audit log as Additional cost. The MSA dated 12 June 2025 contained no renewal-increase clause.

After

Pricing page shows Core, Plus and Pro, attributes cost to the plan you choose, your hiring volume and organizational complexity, drops the company-size sentence, drops the add-on shelf and drops the Additional cost asterisks. The MSA dated 1 February 2026 adds to Section 5(a): Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal — no cap, no index, no percentage, no separate notice.

This is the largest commercial change in Greenhouse’s archived record, and Greenhouse published no announcement of any part of it.

Six legal documents carry the same “Last Updated” date of 1 February 2026: the Master Subscription Agreement, the AI Terms, the Service Level Agreement, the Professional Services Addendum, the Real Talent Terms and the Sourcing Automation Terms. In the same window the pricing page was rebuilt. The Internet Archive capture of 12 January 2026 still shows Essential, Advanced and Expert; the capture of 14 February 2026 shows Core, Plus and Pro. The rename is therefore bounded between those two dates rather than pinned to one.

Four things changed on the public page. The tier names went in a circle — Greenhouse used Core, Pro and Enterprise in 2018, so “Pro” has moved from middle tier to top tier and “Core” is an entry tier again. The sentence that told buyers what drives the bill was deleted: “Prices vary based on the size of your company, giving you room to grow as your hiring needs change” had been on the page in some form since March 2020 and is gone, replaced by copy about “the level of structure, automation and governance your hiring organization requires”. The add-on shelf carrying Onboarding, Sourcing automation, HRIS Link and Integrations was removed, so Greenhouse Onboarding — which had its own priced block on the pricing page since March 2020 — no longer appears there at all. And the three “Additional cost” footnotes on Texting powered by Grayscale, Sandbox sync and Audit log disappeared, with those features now listed inside tiers and no first-party statement of whether they became inclusive or the caveat simply moved to the Order Form.

One thing changed in the contract. Comparing the MSA archived on 13 September 2025 (dated 12 June 2025) with the one archived on 23 April 2026 (dated 1 February 2026): “Licensee” became “Customer” throughout, and Section 5(a) gained a new closing sentence — “Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal.” There is no cap, no index, no stated percentage and no notice requirement attached to the increase itself. The only adjacent protections are the standing 60-day auto-renewal notice for terms of a year or longer and the in-product 120-day renewal reminder.

The two halves point in opposite directions: the page removed the sentence describing what drives the bill, and the contract added an unbounded right to raise it.

Core / Plus / Pro repackaging plus an uncapped renewal-increase clause

Greenhouse's largest commercial change in the archived record, and it was never announced. Six legal documents — the MSA, AI Terms, SLA, Professional Services Addendum, Real Talent Terms and Sourcing Automation Terms — are all re-dated 'Last Updated: February 1, 2026'. The MSA switches 'Licensee' to 'Customer' throughout and adds a new sentence to §5(a): 'Greenhouse reserves the right to increase Fees upon renewal', with no cap anywhere in the agreement (absent from the 2025-09-13 snapshot, present in the 2026-04-23 snapshot). In the same window the pricing page is repackaged from Essential / Advanced / Expert to Core / Plus / Pro (bounded between the 2026-01-12 and 2026-02-14 snapshots), the sentence 'Prices vary based on the size of your company' is deleted, the Onboarding / Sourcing automation / HRIS Link add-on cards are removed, and the '*Additional cost' asterisks on Texting powered by Grayscale, Sandbox sync and Audit log disappear from the feature matrix.
