Rippling’s published entry rate has moved exactly once. The 2019 archived snapshots of rippling.com/pricing — 2019-08-22, 2019-10-15 and 2019-12-13 — all carry the same headline: “Everything you need to manage your HR & IT, starting at $7 per user / month.” By the next archived state, 2020-07-02, the number is $8 and the sentence has been rewritten to “Rippling starts at $8 a month, per user.” The exact date sits somewhere in the unarchived gap between 2019-12-13 and 2020-07-02.
Two other details in the 2020 snapshot matter more than the 14% rate move. First, the top product card — then called The Employee Management Platform — is stamped with a REQUIRED badge, which is the earliest visual statement of what the Customer Terms now express as the “core, required Rippling Platform” clause: no Rippling module can be bought without the base underneath it. Second, the billing FAQ still names the single exception to per-employee pricing by product: HR Help Desk, “billed as small, monthly base fee.” That naming would disappear within two years, replaced by the word “some”, and the $8 figure would never move again.

The same page stamped a REQUIRED badge on The Employee Management Platform card, the visual ancestor of today's 'core, required Rippling Platform' clause.
