Rippling removed its last published price, dropping the $8 rate from the pricing page title and meta description
The pricing page title had read 'Rippling Cost | Starting as low as $8 Per Month' since at least July 2021, over a meta description adding 'Plans start as low as $8 per month.' By this snapshot the title read 'The leading platform for companies that want to grow faster' and no price appeared anywhere in the document.
Page title 'Rippling Cost | Starting as low as $8 Per Month'; meta description 'Rippling lets you manage all your employee data & operations in one, easy-to-use platform. Plans start as low as $8 per month. Get a free quote today.' Hero already price-free since September 2024.
Page title 'The leading platform for companies that want to grow faster'. No currency figure anywhere in the document — hero, body, FAQ, title or metadata. The $8 rate remains published only on Rippling's competitor-comparison pages under /compare.
The second and final step in Rippling’s withdrawal of its own entry rate. Twelve months after the $8 headline left the pricing hero, it left the page’s <title> and meta description too — the last place a search engine or an AI assistant could read a Rippling price off a Rippling page.
The old title had been serving the “how much does Rippling cost” query since at least the 2021-07-05 archived snapshot, paired with a description that read “Plans start as low as $8 per month. Get a free quote today.” The last archived state carrying it is 2025-08-05; by 2025-09-10 the title matches the hero, “The leading platform for companies that want to grow faster”, and the document contains no price at all.
The rate itself never changed. “Starting at $8 per user per month” is still live on seven of Rippling’s twelve competitor-comparison pages — the ADP, BambooHR, Deel, Gusto, Justworks, Paychex and QuickBooks matchups — where it sits under a “PRICING AND PRODUCTS” eyebrow next to “Get a free quote” and “Contact us”. Rippling kept the number where a buyer is comparing and removed it from where a buyer is budgeting.
