Company headcount becomes the base meter; Paygo rises to $129 per job
Workable's subscription tiers moved onto a six-step employee-band selector — the first appearance of company headcount as the price meter — while the per-job Paygo plan rose from $99 to $129.
The 2021-08-04 pricing page shows Paygo at '$99 per job per month' with Standard and Premier above it. No employee-band selector appears in that capture.
The 2022-07-03 pricing page shows Paygo at $129 'Pay per job', and Standard at $279 per month with 'Total cost per year $3,348' and 'Save $672', Premier at $559 per month with 'Total cost per year $6,708' and 'Save $1,332'. Both subscription cards carry a company-size selector with the bands 1 - 20, 21 - 50, 51 - 100, 101 - 250, 251 - 500 and 501 - 1000 employees.
This is the structural turn in Workable’s pricing history. Until 2022 every Workable price was a function of hiring activity: a job slot, a job posting, a plan sized by how many roles you could run at once. The 2022-07-03 capture is the first in the archived record where the subscription price is a function of how many people the customer employs.
The band list in that capture is six steps — 1 - 20, 21 - 50, 51 - 100, 101 - 250, 251 - 500 and 501 - 1000 employees — and it sits on the Standard and Premier cards, not on Paygo. Paygo kept the job meter and went up to $129 per job per month, from $99 in the 2021-08-04 capture.
The annual mechanic is unchanged from 2016 in everything but its label. Standard at $279 a month bills $3,348 a year and the page says “Save $672”, which implies a monthly rate of $335 and a discount of 16.7 percent — the same two-months-free arithmetic the 2016 page stated plainly as “12 months for the price of 10.”
The exact date on which headcount became the meter is unverified; the change is bounded between the 2021-08-04 and 2022-07-03 captures of workable.com/pricing.
