Employee bands re-cut from six steps to nine, adding a quote-only 1000+ tier
Workable replaced its six-step company-size selector with a nine-step one, splitting the mid-market into four narrower bands and adding a 1000+ band that shows no price at all.
The 2025-04-29 pricing page offers six company-size bands: 1 - 20, 21 - 50, 51 - 100, 101 - 250, 251 - 500 and 501 - 1000 employees.
The 2025-09-16 pricing page offers nine: 1 - 20, 21 - 50, 51 - 100, 101 - 200, 201 - 400, 401 - 600, 601 - 800, 801 - 1000 and 1000+ employees. Selecting 1000+ replaces every plan price with 'Contact us for a quote'.
The band boundaries above 100 employees were re-cut. Where a 250-person company and a 101-person company had previously paid the same subscription, they now fall in different bands, and the same is true of a 500-person and a 260-person company. Four narrower steps replaced two wide ones, which raises the price for buyers in the upper half of each retired band and lowers the granularity of the discount for nobody.
The other half of the change is the new top step. A 1000+ band exists on the selector, but choosing it removes the price from all three plan cards and substitutes “Contact us for a quote” — so Workable’s published rate card now terminates at 1,000 employees. This is the only point on Workable’s pricing page where the company behaves like the sales-gated ATS vendors it competes with.
The change is bounded between the 2025-04-29 and 2025-09-16 captures of workable.com/pricing; the exact date is unverified and Workable published no announcement the Internet Archive retains.
