Paygo retired; Starter arrives at $149 a month, monthly only

Workable pricing

Workable removed the last per-job plan from its pricing page and replaced it with Starter, a monthly-only subscription at $149 — ending eleven years of Workable selling recruiting by the job.

Before

The 2022-07-03 pricing page sells Paygo at $129 'Pay per job' alongside Standard at $279 per month and Premier at $559 per month, and notes that 'Premium tools are priced per job per month on the Paygo plan.'

After

The 2024-03-20 pricing page has no per-job plan. Its entry tier is Starter at $149, labelled 'monthly only', bundled with '200 AI sourcing profile views per month' and add-ons priced at Video Interviews +$49, Texting +$39 and Assessments +$29. Standard sits at $299 per month or $3,588 per year with 'Unlimited active jobs' and '1,000 AI sourcing profile views per month'; Premier at $599 per month or $7,188 per year.

Workable had sold recruiting by the job in one form or another since its first archived pricing page in 2013 — as a job-slot ladder, then as Pay As You Go, then as Paygo. The 2024-03-20 capture is the first with no per-job option on it at all.

What replaced it is a subscription, not a meter: Starter at $149 a month, explicitly “monthly only”, with a fixed allowance of 200 AI sourcing profile views per month and its own cheaper add-on prices. Standard rose from $279 to $299 a month in the same window and gained “Unlimited active jobs” as a headline claim.

Both ends of this are bounded rather than dated: the change falls between the 2022-07-03 and 2024-03-20 captures of workable.com/pricing, and Workable published no announcement the Internet Archive retains.

Starter itself was later retired. Workable’s help centre now lists a “Starter plan FAQs” article headed “The Starter plan is a legacy plan and is no longer available to new customers”, describing an entitlement of “Up to two active jobs at a time”, “Up to 20 users” and “200 Search with AI credits per month” — so the job-slot cap survived inside the legacy estate for years after it disappeared from the pricing page.
