Twilio Flex added a third pricing shape at $35 per monthly active user
Alongside the Flex SDK, Twilio introduced 'User + usage' pricing — a low per-seat licence plus consumption-based costs — its first new Flex pricing model since the $1 active user hour and $150 named user options launched in 2019.
Two Flex pricing models plus a trial: $150 per named user per month for predictable spend, $1 per active user hour for seasonal or part-time agents, and 5,000 free active user hours for new Flex accounts. Agent Copilot billed at $0.035 per voice minute and $0.005 per digital message in public beta.
Three Flex pricing models plus the trial. 'User + usage' starts at $35 per monthly active user for Flex deployments on an existing Twilio account, plus metered usage tied to engagement and agent activity. Named user pricing holds at $150 per named user per month and active user hour pricing at $1 per hour. The pricing page labels User + usage as New.
Twilio announced the Flex SDK — “a single, modular JavaScript SDK that enables developers to embed contact center functionality directly into any web application, including custom CRMs” — on 16 April 2026, and introduced a pricing model to go with it. The press release describes User + usage as combining “low per-seat license fees with consumption-based costs” without naming a figure; the Flex pricing page lists it at $35 per monthly active user, defined as any user who logs into Flex at least once in the month.
The option is restricted: it is available only for Flex deployments running on an existing Twilio account, not for standalone Flex Accounts.
This is the first change to Flex’s headline pricing since the product’s public pricing page went up. The $1 active user hour and $150 named user prices were both on the page in March 2019 and are both still on it in 2026 — seven years without a list-price move, in a contact-centre market where per-seat prices have moved repeatedly.
